Situation: New Century Careers undertook a project in early 2004 to have Nauticom build a web application that would serve as a portal for connecting prospective manufacturing career candidates with educational institutions and resources in Western Pennsylvania. Solution: Nauticom worked closely the staff at New Century Careers to specify the full range of needs for this application, and to build a site that was both pleasing from a design perspective and extremely practical for users. The site offers comprehensive content management tools for website maintenance. Stats: The launch of the site in the summer of 2004 was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from students, parents, schools and manufacturing professionals. It stands as a unique and singular resource for connecting people interested and involved in both the welding and machining professions. Technologies: SQL Server, ASP, Content Management Tools
